Princess Beatrice’s big hint that everyone missed before pregnancy announcement

Princess Beatrice has shared her baby joy after revealing she and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are expecting their second child.

Buckingham Palace announced that the late Queen’s granddaughter, 36, and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 40, are preparing to welcome a new addition to their family in early spring. The royal baby will be a little brother or sister for the couple’s three-year-old daughter Sienna, and Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s son and Beatrice’s stepson, eight-year-old Wolfie.

Beatrice’s happy news came a week after she jetted to New York with her mum Sarah Ferguson, where they both attended several events connected with the United Nations General Assembly. She also had several outings back home in London. And it seems there was a big hint then about her big secret.

During ths time, Beatrice, who was named Tatler’s best-dressed for 2024, appeared to shake up her style while out and about in the Big Apple. And it could have been that her sporting relaxed long coats over stylish dresses and skirts rather than more structured styles was a hint about her impending arrival.

When born, Beatrice’s baby will be given a place in line to the throne behind their mother, Beatrice, who is currently 9th and big sister Sienna, who is 10th, meaning the new royal baby will be 11th. And with this, it means all those in the line of succession 12th and below will all be shunted down a place.

This means that Eugenie will be shifted down to 12th place, her sons August and Ernest will be 13th and 14th, Prince Edward will slip to 15th and his children James, the Earl of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor will be 16th and 17th. Following them will be Princess Anne in 18th followed by her son Peter Phillips in 19th and his oldest daughter Savannah in 20th. It means Peter’s younger daughter Isla will be 20th with Zara Tindall also outside the top 20 spaces altogether.
