Prince William gives touching update on Princess Kate and George, Charlotte and Louis | Royal | News
Prince William gave a sweet update on his wife Princess Kate and their three children on his final day in Cape Town.
The Prince of Wales, 42, visited Africa for a four-day trip to celebrate the Earthshot Prize 2024.
Before his flight home on Thursday, the prince was greeted by huge, cheering crowds as he arrived in Kalk Bay.
During an impromptu walkabout, William spent time meeting dozens of people and even admitted that he had the most “amazing” few days.
He told the crowd: “I love Cape Town, I’ve had the most amazing week here, I’ve really enjoyed it. I don’t want to go! My children would love to be here, so would Catherine.”
During the walkabout, the future King was also handed some gifts for his family back in Windsor, with Kate having stayed at home with the couple’s children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Kate Wardle, 46, from Kalk Bay, had created some beaded keyrings for the royals.
This included two in the shape of a W and a C and three in animal shapes for the children.
When he was handed the gifts, William said: “Thank you very much, they’ll love those. Never go home empty handed, that’s important.”
This isn’t the first time Prince William has made touching tributes to his close-knit family on his overseas trip.
