Prince Harry’s next move as Meghan Markle ‘won’t ever be forgiven’ – expert
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seemingly decided to separate their professional lives with both making a string of solo appearances recently - and one royal expert believes there is an important reason for that
Prince Harry’s recent solo appearances without wife Meghan Markle are down to one strategic reason, a royal expert has claimed.
Last month, Harry travelled the world alone, visiting New York, London and Southern Africa to promote charitable causes close to his heart. Meanwhile, in the past week, Meghan walked the red carpet in a showstopping red dress without her husband at a gala for a children’s hospital and met young girls to mark International Day of the Girl. It is a huge change from several years ago when the couple sensationally quit as working royals and would frequently appear at events together.
And according to royal expert and biographer Ingrid Seward, this could be down to the fact she believes that despite railing against his royal relatives, Harry still has a chance at being forgiven by the public.
However, she told The Sun: “But I don’t see the same thing for Meghan. Deep down people still love Prince Harry, and they want to love him, I think they’re just very, very disappointed in him. He made millions out of Spare, but he seriously has paid for it, because it’s done his reputation an immeasurable amount of harm, especially with his family, but the way that people view him.”
But after seeing him back promoting causes close to his heart, Ingrid added: “It’s really good to see a glimpse of the old Harry… and, hopefully, it will resonate with him too.”
It comes as a pal has spoken out about the Sussexes going through a major shift – amid their telling solo appearances. Several years ago, Meghan once described her and Harry as like “salt and pepper” as they always “move together”. And with this seemingly not happening in recent weeks since their tour of Colombia in August, it has led many to wonder why this might be the case.
According to a source close to the couple, the reason for the solo appearance is down to a shift in their ventures. The pal told People magazine: “It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving.” While another pal added: “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track.”
