Prince Harry reveals incredible secret about Princess Lilibet’s hair and credits Meghan

Prince Harry has revealed an adorable detail about his daughter Princess Lilibet’s hair – and says she’s inherited it from mum, Meghan Markle.

The Sussexes have closely guarded five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Lilibet from the spotlight, meaning they are rarely seen in public and with very few photos of them in the public domain. However, it has emerged that while gushing about his children at a recent solo appearance, Harry revealed an incredible snippet about Lilibet, saying she has been blessed with her mum Meghan’s thick hair. The cute detail emerged after Harry chatted to Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon at the WellChild Awards, which Harry attended during his whistlestop trip to London last week.

Writing in Hello! magazine, Sophie recounted what it was like to meet Harry as he supported the charity that helps seriously ill children. She explained: “From the moment he arrived in the reception room, he had an infectious energy about him, and there were no airs and graces at all as he chatted animatedly about his own children ahead of the event. Archie and Lili have been blessed with their mother’s thick hair, he told us, self-effacingly, as he marvelled that it won’t be long until Lili can sit on hers.”

Harry attended the awards alone following a string of solo engagements in New York, later going to Southern Africa. But Meghan has attended the WellChild Awards in the past. Sophie added: “His wonderful wife Meghan was holding the fort, he said, her hands full with not only their two children but also their three dogs, which he joked were not quite house-trained. Not to mention the chickens!”

It’s not the only comment that Harry made about his young daughter while at the inspirational awards ceremony. During the event, Harry, was upstaged by a youngster who threw his toys away during an awards night and laughed as Harry picked them up. The duke met seven-year-old Noah Nicholson – who has complex medical conditions. Noah has cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease and other serious health issues, but his mother, Tracey Nicholson, 42, from Grimsby, said he remains happy and positive and lives life to the full.

The little boy brought his prized comfort toys – George the cat and Ratty the Giraffe in the shape of a blanket – and delighted in throwing them on to the floor. When Ms Nicholson apologised for her son’s antics, Harry, who is WellChild’s patron, replied: “Don’t apologise, I love it.”
