Kate Middleton’s Next Appearance Could Include Her Kids

Fresh off of Kate Middleton’s back-to-back Remembrance weekend appearances, Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Princess of Wales has already figured out her next public engagement—and it’s coming up soon. With the holidays right around the corner, Princess Kate is reportedly bringing back a festive royal family tradition that might include a joint appearance with her three kids.

For the fourth year in a row, the royal will be hosting Together at Christmas, her annual carol service at Westminster Abbey, per People. On Friday, December 6, she’ll step out at the televised festive concert in London alongside Prince William and other members of the royal family. Amid a “brutal” year for the royal family, Kensington Palace revealed that this year’s theme “takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy.”

The 1,600-person service, which will be televised on Christmas Eve on ITVx in the United Kingdom, will celebrate people who have “above all else, shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive,”

The announcement comes amidst reports that Kate is “[managing] expectations” around her royal return since announcing she’d completed treatment for cancer, according to royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith. People previously reported back in September that the royal was holding meetings with her staff about the upcoming concert, so it’s likely that this is an event that she’s especially excited about.

While Prince William is confirmed to attend the event, the publication reported that royal watchers won’t know if the couple’s kids will be bringing their adorable antics and meme-worthy moments to the concert for a few weeks. Per Kensington Palace, the Prince and Princess of Wales won’t confirm if Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be making an appearance until the day of the carol service.
