Kate Middleton health update as rarely-seen royal says she’s ‘so brave’

Kate, Princess of Wales is 'doing so well', according to a royal relative - after an announcement earlier this month that she has completed her preventative chemotherapy treatment

The Princess of Wales is reportedly “doing so well” after completing her chemotherapy treatment and focusing on staying “cancer free”, a royal relative has claimed.

It comes after the release of a heartwarming family video in which Kate, joined by husband William and their three children, revealed she had completed her preventative chemotherapy treatment following a shock cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

Lady Frederick Windsor, also known as Peep Show star Sophie Winkleman, praised her “warm and supportive” royal relatives, where she opened up about her most recent catch up with Kate, 42, at Wimbledon’s men’s final in July.

Sophie told HELLO!: “She’s wonderful. I last saw her at Wimbledon; it was so cheering to see her, beautiful as ever. She’s been amazingly brave and is doing so well.”

In Kate’s emotional video, she tells viewers that the last nine months since discovering she had cancer was “scary” and “incredibly tough”, but adds “out of darkness, can come light”. The intimate video, which shows Kate and her family over a narration by the Princess of Wales, also sees Kate looking up adoringly at William as she rests her head on his shoulder, later laughing with him, holding hands and kissing each other.

“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus”, Kate said, as she thanked the public for their support. She added: “I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
