Kate Middleton and Prince William’s incognito date night venue is very unroyal
Prince William and Princess Kate are two of the most famous people in the world, meaning heading out on a low-key date night can be tricky.
To prevent attracting too much attention, the couple usually stay at home and enjoy dinner together away from prying eyes. But every so often, they leave George, Charlotte and Louis at home and head out to dine.
Kate and William made a surprising confession during a visit to Indian Streatery restaurant in Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, ahead of King Charles’ Coronation. The royal couple said they “love curries” and admitted that they “secretly try lots of curry houses around the country” – although it’s not known how they manage to go incognito.
The parents-of-three did manage a romantic night out together in 2021 during a visit to their old stomping ground. William and Kate stayed overnight in St Andrews before a day of royal events – 20 years after they had first met there as students.
And they were spotted leaving Forgan’s restaurant, a contemporary restaurant with a Scottish twist. The couple asked for a private seating area at the back of the eatery, which has welcomed the likes of Rory McIlroy in the past.
“There was a crowd outside once they left but as far as inside goes it was quiet,” said manager Marc, who declined to give his last name. “There was no pomp and ceremony or fanfare, they were very nice and when they left they were very complimentary.”
