James Middleton reveals how his son Inigo is doted on by Kate and Pippa’s children – admitting there is ‘lots of laughter and giggles about’
James Middleton has revealed how his son is doted on by his the children of his sisters, Kate and Pippa Middleton.
The 37-year-old, who resides in Berkshire with his wife Alizée, their one-year-old son Inigo and their six dogs, wrote about his typical weekend in the My Saturday column in The Telegraph.
James – who lives close to his elder siblings – said he usually stops by his parents’ house for tea at around 4pm.
The Princess of Wales‘s brother gushed about how Inigo’s six cousins look after his young toddler whenever they are together at family events.
Kate and William share Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six – while Pippa has Arthur, five, Grace, three, and Rose, one, with her husband James Matthews.

‘My sisters and I are all within 30 minutes’ drive, so there is often an aunt or a cousin passing through,’ he told the outlet.
‘The cousins all play their role in looking after Inigo – there’s seven of them altogether at the moment.
‘I think they’re all impressed at how much of a mess Inigo can make. But there’s lots of laughter and giggles about.’
James said that throughout his battle with depression, which has openly spoken about over the past couple of years, he ‘recognised the importance of family’.
‘I think any challenge that a family goes through is one that brings them together,’ he added.
The Middletons have experienced a tough nine months, after Kate was taken to hospital for an operation in January and revealed that she had cancer in March.
But the future Queen revealed last month that she had ‘completed her chemotherapy treatment’ and is doing what she can to ‘stay cancer free’.
Elsewhere in his column, James said that he starts the morning with eggs for breakfast with the radio playing, as Inigo enjoys listening to Bob Marley.

He said that Alizée is currently teaching their son how to speak French, and predominantly chats to her son in the language so he can pick it up.
James admitted that he’s having to learn ‘a lot of the words pretty quickly,’ to catch up with them.
Alizée’s French culture also means that they have a whole shelf dedicated to just cheeses at their home and they always tuck into a cheeseboard before eating dessert.

James also revealed that he and Alizée spent their evenings rewatching Outnumbered, which he has found even funnier since becoming a father to Inigo.

Speaking of having another child, he said: ‘We’d love to expand the family, but it’s never straightforward.’
James recently also revealed that Inigo has been wearing hand-me-down clothes gifted by Kate from her and William’s children.
Brands known to be loved by Kate for her children include Boden, Ralph Lauren and UK-based label Amaia – meaning Inigo will be fashionably dressed from a very young age.
In an interview with HELLO! Magazine, James said his sister Pippa has also lent him some hand-me-downs.
‘They are milestones, because [my sisters] remember when their child was wearing something, and how old they were – it takes them back,’ he said. ‘It’s been a lovely thing for them.
‘He’s fortunate to have older cousins who can now pick him up and show him things, and as he grows up, they’ll be able to look out for him. There’s definitely an element of curiosity [about] a baby that they have.’
And speaking about his two sisters, he added: ‘It’s been wonderful, seeing them become mothers and being so dedicated and strong. I’m in awe of that.’
