Pregnant Princess Beatrice Spotted at Conference in Saudi Arabia
- Princess Beatrice was reportedly spotted at an investment conference in Saudi Arabia on Oct. 28
- Buckingham Palace announced on Oct. 1 that Princess Beatrice, 36, and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their second baby together
- Princess Beatrice, who is not a working royal, has had a busy few weeks of social events
Pregnant Princess Beatrice has had a busy autumn, with her travels recently taking her to Saudi Arabia.
On Oct. 28, an Al-Monitor correspondent posted a new picture of Princess Beatrice on social media, which she said was taken at an FII conference. The Future Investment Initiative (FII) is a global platform convening “leaders, visionaries, and innovators from around the world to explore the future of global investment,” its website says, and the FII 8th Edition is being held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from Oct. 29 to 31.
“Princess Beatrice spotted at #FII2024. Along with her sister Eugenie, Beatrice is now a regular at Saudi econ/investment conferences. She’s become a culture ambassador of sorts for the UK in the Middle East,” Jennifer Gnana wrote on X.
Her message captioned a picture of Beatrice, 36, wearing a black dress with coordinating flats and a badge as she spoke with someone in what looked like a lobby. A sign behind advertised “New Africa Summit & HERizon,” two summits that happened on Oct. 28.
Despite her patronages and frequent appearances at royal events, Princess Beatrice is not technically a working royal like her cousin Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton. Instead, Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, make their living in a modern way — day jobs! — and Beatrice works as the Vice President of Partnerships & Strategy at software firm Afiniti.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the launch of the Youth Impact Council in New York City on Sept. 25, Princess Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, praised her daughters’ drive.
“It’s almost, this is the university of life for me to be learning from young people that are actually out there doing the work. It’s like Beatrice and Eugenie are out there doing the work. Eugenie does a lot with The Anti-Slavery Collective, Beatrice does an enormous amount in technology and with dyslexia and really believes in humanity in the workplace, with compassion,” the Duchess of York said about some of the philanthropic causes her children champion.
Princess Beatrice has been on the go in recent weeks, attending two sparkling parties in London on Oct. 22, joining her mother Fergie at a fundraising lunch for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity on Oct. 15, the Frieze Art Fair VIP preview with Eugenie and more.
The month began on a sweet note for the royals, as Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Beatrice is pregnant, expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna,” the palace said in a statement on Oct. 1, sharing two new photos of the family.

“His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news,” it continued, referring to Princess Beatrice’s uncle, King Charles.
The baby on the way will make Princess Beatrice and Edo, 40, a family of five. The couple tied the knot in July 2021, and are parents to daughter Sienna, 3, and Christopher Woolf, 8, Edo’s son from a previous relationship.
The child is expected to enter as 11th in the British line of succession to the throne, and inherit an aristocratic title from Edo’s side of the family. The property developer is descended from Italian aristocracy, and his father previously said that any of Beatrice and Edo’s children will be “counts” or “nobile donna.”
