Kate Middleton Is Not ‘Playing Peacemaker’ and Has ‘Thrown Her Hands up in Disgust’ at Prince Harry

Here's why a couple of royal experts are refuting the reports that the Princess of Wales is playing peacemaker between her husband and brother-in-law.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been feuding with the royal family for years. Their problems started before the Sussexes stepped down but things got worse over time following the pair’s televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, their Netflix docuseries, and the duke’s tell-all book Spare, which painted a few members of the prince’s family in a terrible light.

Still, some royal watchers have held out hope that there will be a reconciliation between all parties one day and have been taking bets on who the peacemaker could be. Several media outlets put out stories that the Princess of Wales (formerly as known as Kate Middleton) will be that person. But now a couple of experts are insisting that’s not the case as even she is done with Harry now.

Royal author Christopher Andersen talked about how it’s not accurate to think that Kate is trying to inject herself into any piece talks between Harry and Prince William.

“The idea that Kate somehow still has the time and energy to continue playing peacemaker is rubbish,” Anderson said via Fox News, adding, “She did try over a period of years and finally threw up her hands in disgust. She did her bit, but it wasn’t enough to build a bridge between William and Charles on the one side and Harry on the other.”

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams agreed claiming it wouldn’t make any sense for Kate to even try anymore after the way Harry portrayed her in his book, and that the princess is “totally at one” with her husband over his handling of the brotherly feud.

According to Fitzwilliams, “Harry portrayed her [Kate] as cold and unwelcoming to Meghan Markle in Spare, when he painted an extremely damaging picture of the royal family. The memoir is soon to be released in paperback and his allegations will surface again, though fortunately, he will not be adding to the volume or promoting it. He knows perfectly well how damaging it has been.”
