Meghan Markle’s ‘unusual gestures make deliberate statement’ during solo outing – expert
Meghan Markle made a rare appearance on the red carpet at a charity gala in Los Angeles - and one expert says her appearance and body language signalled a huge change for the Duchess of Sussex
Meghan Markle deliberately appeared very different in a rare solo red carpet appearance, according to an expert.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a recycled eye-catching red Carolina Herrera gown as she turned up for a star-studded night at the LA Children’s Hospital charity gala on Saturday. Meghan could be seen posing for photographers on the red carpet as well as chatting to pal Kelly McKee Zajfen.
Later, she was spotted smiling and conversing with children at the event, speaking about the important work the hospital does. The appearance came after Meghan had laid low for several weeks while her husband Prince Harry had been crisscrossing the world in a string of appearances promoting his own charitable endeavours.
And while walking the red carpet alone, body language expert Judi James says Meghan appears very changed. She told the Mirror : “With her husband off on a solo jaunt and all the current controversy swirling in the press, Meghan’s sudden appearance on the red carpet here seems to show some body language and styling choices that involve the kind of changes that might be making a few deliberate statements.
“Her non-verbal signalling is all about looking coy, slightly vulnerable and even slightly shy. Although she seems to be on her usual form when it comes to placement and direction, her actual posing performances for the cameras lack her usual levels of confidence and assertiveness. She seems to be projecting the idea that she is sweet and rather cute.
