You Need to See King Charles Trying Samoan Dancing, Quite Hilarious -Video

Yesterday, King Charles hosted a Commonwealth celebration at St. James’s Palace, which showed royal fans that the monarch is feeling well enough to continue public-facing duties and offered them a chance to see him get down—literally. According to a video shared by the BBC, Charles tried his hand at Samoan dancing after former rugby star Freddie Tuilagi encouraged him to show off his moves.
The festivities included an impromptu Samoan dance lesson, Marie Claire reports, and Charles did what was described as a “hula-like” dance by the publication. After he handed his drink to someone behind him, everyone in attendance was surprised to see him being game and trying his hand at the traditional dance. Queen Camilla was also on hand and she was seen clapping along to the music as she took in the scene.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Tuilagi explained that he approved of Charles’s moves.
“I told [the] king I’m going to dance for you—when you go to Samoa, this is how they will dance,” he said before adding that Charles’s performance was “good,” and finishing, “He’s got the moves.”
Another famous face in attendance was singer and actress Grace Jones, who reminisced about her time with the royals at the event, saying, “I have met them a few times, ever since James Bond [she starred in 1985’s A View to a Kill]. I also did the hula hoop for the Queen at the Jubilee. So, we have a history.”
