Prince William’s incredible little-known party trick and Kate Middleton loves it
The Princess of Wales was her husband Prince William's biggest fan when he revealed a very surprising skill during an official royal outing together in Ireland in 2022
Prince William is a man of many talents. The heir to the throne revealed one of his secret party tricks during an official royal outing with Princess Kate, and she was seriously impressed.
Back in March 2022, the royal couple paid a visit to Ireland together – their last overseas trip before the first lockdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic. Their itinerary included engagements in Counties Dublin, Galway, Meath and Kildare with mental-health charities and community groups.
During an engagement celebrating Galway being chosen as the European Capital of Culture for 2020, William and Kate met with local artists and musicians, and circus performers, who certainly put William on the spot.
But the future King did not disappoint. To the surprise of those around him, he promptly showed off his skills, masterfully juggling three balls to the applause of onlookers. But it was wife Kate who looked most impressed. She beamed as she watched William in action, before giving him a big round of applause.
A video of the sweet moment was shared on the TikTok account @l0velycatherine – and fans were delighted to see the couple’s touching exchange.
“So cute how smitten she is!” one fan commented, while a second added: “No end to William and Kate’s talents – what a fabulous pair!” A third noted: “William is my fave royal & didn’t know he juggled! And love that Catherine’s his biggest cheerleader.” And a fourth echoed: “Wow! did not know he could do that!”
It’s by no means William’s only little-known talent. The royal is believed to be able to speak in French, German, Welsh, Gaelic, Spanish and can even converse in Swahili – having taught himself the language during his time at university.
It is thought that William further improved his Spanish skills during his gap-year which he spent in Chile on the Raleigh International scheme building houses and helping communities.
And Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis look set to follow in their father’s footsteps, thanks to their Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who has been working for the family since 2014 and teaching the children how to speak her native language.
